Abstract

171,204. White, A. E., (Independent Pneumatic Tool Co.). Aug. 20, 1920. Clips, band.-A sheet-metal hose clamp comprising a body portion 1 split longitudinally with its ends turned outwardly to form flanges 3, 4, connected by a screw 11 and nut 14, has projecting lugs 5 with inturned ends 6 engaging over the flange 7 on the member 8. A separate fillerpiece 19 has a flange 17 bearing against the flange 3. The nut 14 has a rectangular head 13 adapted to engage the body portion to prevent relative rotation, and a threaded hub 15 extending through the flange 4. Barbs 22, struck up from the body portion, prevent movement of the clamp.
