[Class 44.] In a hose-pipe clip of the kind tightened by a worm-screw d carried by a bearing b secured to one end of the band a and serving as a guide for the other end of the band which is provided with teeth c engaged by the screw, the screw head has an aperture f to receive an operating pin of such diameter that the pin will bend on excessive pressure being applied. The band can thus be made of brass or other comparatively soft metal with teeth stamped or rolled therein, damage to the teeth by overtightening being prevented.
