Belts.-A driving- belt is formed from an outer continuous tanned leather layer a reaisting stretching and an adhesive chrome leather inner layer formed as a series of separated longitudinal strips d, each of which may be built up of overlapping strips secured together end to end. Grooves a' are formed in the layer a to enlarge the spaces b in the lower layer to facilitate escape of air. Rivets c securing the layers together are countersunk to form recesses c' on the driving- face of the belt to act as suckers to increase adhesion.
