Abstract

170,657. Curry, J. E. P. July 22, 1920. Saddles.-A pneumatic cover for the saddles of motor-cycles &c. comprises a folded endless elastic tube 5 which is introduced into a casing 1 through an opening fitted with a flap 2, the inflating-valve 6 being arranged to project through a hole in the flap. For fixing to the saddle, the casing is provided with straps 3 or the like. The tube 5 is folded to form an inverted U, each limb comprising two folds of the tube retained in position by binding straps or bands 7, 8. The casing is formed into two pockets for the reception of the cushion by stitching 4. According to the Provisional Specification, the folds of the tube are held in position by a fabric band which is bifurcated into straps and has a hole at the undivided end to pass over the valve.
