Abstract

169,592. Stead, C. V. Aug. 11, 1920. Bags for golf clubs.-A golf bag is provided with an aluminium or metallic bottom a, Fig. 1, having strengthening ridges and being riveted to a leather sleeve b attached to the body of the bag. The mouth of the bag is reinforced by an aluminium or metallic ring c, Fig. 8, the edge c<1> of which is turned over. The ring c is riveted to a leather ring d attached to the body of the bag, and is formed with a slot c<3>, Fig. 5, for the carrying-straps of the bag. The club shafts are prevented from contacting with the ring c by a doubled strip of leather f2 which is secured to the bag by stitching.
