Abstract

214,812. Rennie, H. G. April 3, 1923. Pouches.-A portable device for cleaning golf balls and the like is provided with a wetting and a drying sponge, cloth or the like. by which a ball can be cleaned and dried. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the device comprises a rubber pouch divided into two pockets, a, b for the reception of a wetting sponge c and a drying cloth e, the latter extending outside the pouch for drying the fingers of the user. The pouch is adapted to be folded and held in the folded position by a band k, the pocket containing the wetting sponge being closed in the folded position by a flap d. A tag i having an eyelet j is provided for attaching the device to a golf bag. In a modification the pockets are arranged back to back. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the device is formed in one with an envelope m into which the pockets are foldable, the flap d being dispensed with.
