Bags for golf clubs.-A. golf-bag hood is provided with a substantially rigid mouth which is adjustable in size and is adapted to be secured to the usual metal ring at the opening of the bag. As shown in Figs. 2 and 4, the stiffened mouth b<1> of the hood b contains a flat chain b<2> or other flexible, inextensible member, the ends of which may be connected together by a pivoted hasp c<1> and turn-button c<5>, the latter having an eye to receive the bow of a padlock. The mouth of the bag x, Fig. 3, is stiffened by a reinforcement x<1> of fibre or metal covered with leather, and is provided with a metal ring a under which the member b<2> of the hood is adapted to fit. The hood is provided with a pocket b<3> and with a hook b<6> to hold it in position against the ring a. In modifications, the member b<2> may be formed as a hinged metal ring, or as a flexible ring provided with L-shaped slots adapted to be engaged by studs projecting from the ring a.
