Abstract

169,152. Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Wilson, G. P.). Sept. 17, 1920, [Convention date]. Protective arrangements.-In electrically-driven apparatus, such as rolling-mills, which should complete an operation once begun, in addition to the usual overload relays 12, 13, 14, a relay device 15 is provided which, on the event of a ground in the circuit 8 to the motor 3, operates a time-limit relay 7 so that the circuit-interrupter 4 will be actuated, but only after such a time that the operation in hand is completed. An indicator 23 shows at the mill end when a ground has occurred, while a further indicator 24 is actuated in that case at the generating station &c.
