The plug box parts a, b may have a spring catch to secure them together and an interfitting projection and recess to ensure correct relative position. In the form described, the end of the catch, which is mounted in the fixed part a of the coupling, operates through a hole g<1> in the detachable portion band engages a groove j in the latter during coupling. Earth-continuity may be obtained by a screw pin k non-detachably mounted in the part a of the coupling.
