Abstract

Ploughs. - In a tractor plough in which the land and furrow wheels are carried by cranked axles having upward extensions linked together, and in which automatic mechanism is provided for partially rotating the axles to lift the ploughs, the lifting mechanism is driven from the furrowwheel and means are provided for adjusting the land and furrow-wheels simultaneously and the land-wheel separately. The land-wheel 1 is adjustable separately by means of a lever 12 pivoted on an upward extension 6 of the cranked axle 4 of the furrow-wheel 2 and connected below the pivot to a link 7 pivoted on an extension 5 of the land-wheel axle 3. The locking-quadrant 15 for the lever 12 is formed on the link 7. The wheels 1, 2 may be adjusted simultaneously by means of a lever 8 linked to a crank on an arm 11 on the axle 4. Mechanism for raising the castorwheel 20 is connected by a rod or chain 16 to the ordinary lifting-mechanism driven from the furrow-wheel 2, which is in advance of the landwheel 1.
