Soldering; soldering-irons. -A tool for soldering aluminium consists of a bit and burner nozzle which are attached to a blowpipe so that the flame is directed bv the nozzle on to the aluminium as well as on to the bit. An iron bit a and nozzle b are attached to a spirit blowpipe c by a support d, secured to the blowpipe bv a screw f and screwed at the other end to the bit, which is fixed by a locking-screw e. The parts to be soldered are cleaned by filing or by emery paper and then heated separately by the flame emerging from the nozzle, and after the solder has been spread thereon by the bit the parts are joined by placing them in contact with each other.
