166,193. Creamer, J. A. Sept. 4, 1918. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Detachable-rim attachments to wheels.-A detachable rim, for example the foundation-band a of a solid tyre b, is fitted with tapped sockets c for detachably receiving the threaded outer ends of the spokes d. These are adjustably threaded into hub bosses e and locked by nuts g, h. Filling-blocks k, secured by a flange-plate and transverse set-screws n, may be fitted under the extreme inner ends of the spokes. In a modification, the tyre-carrying rim is fitted over a sectional inner rim carrying the spoke-receiving sockets.
