Abstract

166,191. Paterson, W. Aug. 1, 1917. Hydraulic seal safety apparatus.-Small flows of chlorine from a container a are controlled or measured by placing in the path of the gas a U- tube or the like o containing liquid not appreciably affected by, or affecting, the gas; the latter depresses the liquid to unseal a vent p through which a quantity of gas passes, the liquid then returning to seal the vent.
