[Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] To stabilize the liquid level in a tank 15, Fig. 2, variations of level are detected by a monometer 1, 2 (see Group XXXVIII) which adjusts differentially the currents in the opposed current coils 13 of a Ferraris wattmeter. The meter operates a contact 21 in the appropriate sense to drive a servomotor 22 in a direction to open or close the valve 16 controlling the flow of fluid to the tank 15.
