Abstract
Soluble double compounds are prepared from one molecule of 1 - allyl - 3 : 7 - dimethylxanthine and two molecules of an alkali benzoate or salicylate; the mixed solution is used as such or evaporated in vacuo. In examples, sodium salicylate, lithium benzoate, and sodium benzoate are employed. The products have diuretic and analeptic properties and are suitable for injection.
