164,957. Plevins, N. May 28, 1920. Vibration-dampers.-Consists of an improved construction of friction motion-damper operating .during movement in one direction only, preferably for use with vehicle springs. A stem A fixed to the frame carries the inner member C of a one-way roller clutch, the outer member D of which is formed with a flat or conical braking- surface E which co-operates with a friction disc F, the hub F<3> of which is free to rotate on the stem A, and which is pressed against the surface E by a spring G adjustable by a nut J. The hub F<3> is connected to the axle or spring by a lever, link, and ball-joint.
