164,836. Ivinson, C. H., and Roberts, C. S. March 13, 1920. Paints.-A poisonous substance such as mercuric chloride or cyanide is dissolved in an alcohol or methylated ether or a mixture of these, and the solution is added to a paint having an asphaltic base such as that described in Specification 151,666. This addition renders the paint specially suitable for preventing fouling, incrust'ation, and dry rot.
