Refrigerating-plant, arrangement of.-Relates to arrangements of refrigerating-plant for a train of railway vehicles or boats, and is described as applied to a railway train. Each of the refrigerator cars 1, 2, 3 of the train is equipped with an electrically driven refrigerating machine 8, 9, 10 supplied with current from a central generating plant carried by a separate car or arranged in a compartment 4 of one of the storage cars 1. The generating plant comprises a dynamo 7 and a heatengine 6. An oil engine, a reciprocating steamengine, or a steam turbine may be used. The steam may be obtained from the locomotive and the exhaust used for heating purposes or condensed. The circuits are arranged so that they may be connected separately to an existing external circuit at a stopping place Air-circulating fans 12 and pumps 15 for circulating the condenser water through coolers 18 may be provided, and be driven electrically from the refrigerating machine circuits.
