Spring wheels with continuous o u t e r rigid ring and pneumatic hubs.-In a pneumatic hub of the kind in which cylinders and pistons are radially arranged, ports are provided in the cylinder walls so that the cylinder is opened to the atmosphere at a predetermined point in the stroke of the piston. Ports b, Fig. 5, are provided at a distance from the closed ends of the cylinders equal to the total length of the piston stroke minus the height of the compressed-air cushion c.
