Abstract

163,096. Watt, J. A. D. Feb. 9, 1920. Razors, safety, in which the blade is capable of being stropped without removal from the frame and is adjustable relatively to the guard in a direction at right-angles to the handle. The bladecarrier and guard are coupled by mechanical means by which the adjustment is obtained. The blade-carrier 7 is slidable along ribs on the guard-plate 4 and has a threaded portion 7a engaged by a headed screw 13 having a graduated collar 12 located in an arcuate slot 11 at the rear of the plate 4. The graduations of the collar can be read against a pointer on the top of the carrier to give a visual index of the adjustment obtained. A stud 6 on the carrier passes through a slot 5 in the guard and is engaged by the handle 9 to lock the parts in the adjusted position.
