Abstract

Piston; connecting-rods. - In a trunk piston for an internal - combustion or other engine the gudgeon-pin f is hollow and is supplied with lubricant, which is retained by plates g serving also to prevent endwise movement of the gudgeon-pin. The plates g may be formed integral with the gudgeon-pin bushes as shown, or separate, and are bolted to the bosses a. The invention is shown applied to a piston of the type described in Specification 152,105, in which the gudgeonpin bosses are integral with a tubular strut c on the piston head, and are carried by flattened parts of the piston skirt.
