Treadle mechanism.-Foot-cycles or scooters of the kind described in Specification 105,710 have the treadle-operated driving - wheel A formed with a continuous flange a<1> upon one edge of its periphery and two or more projections a<2>, a<3> around the other edge. In this way, an ordinary sprocketwheel is dispensed with, and the endless transmitting-medium may consist of a band portion secured to the wheel A and an ordinary chain portion engaging with a sprocket-wheel on the axle of the rear road wheels. The treadle arm or crank B is formed with the wheel A and extends from the hub or the side thereof.
