Cigarette papers, packets and books of.-A case or wrapper for cigarette papers is formed of a single piece of card-paper printed on one side and folded on three lines into four leaves or flaps a, b, c, d. Pockets for tickets &c. are formed by making a slit 4 in one flap a and glueing the edges of the said flap a to the adjacent flap b, or by glueing the edges of two adjacent flaps together. The cigarette papers 3 may be stitched or fastened to the middle line of the fourth flap d, Fig. 2, which may be glued to the flap c. The papers may be formed with staggered notches to facilitate detachment one by one, or they may be folded longitudinally to reduce the depth of the book, or they may be attached to a strip of pasteboard arranged to engage with diagonal slits in one of the outer flaps a, d. The paper may be coloured differently on opposite sides and one flap, b, Fig. 9, may be perforated to indicate names, designs Z, trade marks, &c. when the flaps a, b are secured together. Fig. 10 shows a method of securing an elastic band 23 to the flap d by a tongue 21 which is folded and glued down over a loop of the band. In the form shown in Fig. 11, the ends and middle of an elastic band 23 are secured by a wire clamp 23<2>. In other modifications, the elastic band is secured by making slits or perforations in the card paper, or by tongues or flaps glued down over the bands.
