Abstract

161,142. Aktiebolaget Kullagerverken. April 1, 1920, [Convention date]. Ball bearings.-A self-adjusting ball bearing for railway &c. vehicles forms a selfcontained unit and comprises at least two sets of ballbearing units 1, 2 mounted in a common casing 7, which is mounted spherically and movable in a supporting casing 21. The inner bearing ring 10 of one set is movable axially on the shaft by means of a pin 11 and recess 12, while the inner ring 13 is secured to the shaft by a nut 15 and shoulder 14. A cover 16 is screwed into the casing 7. Resilient rings 19 are interposed between the outer bearing rings and between the rings and the casing so as to permit the rings to yield axially. The outer rings may be divided, the parts being separated by rings 8, 9.
