Air and gas pressure sprayers.-For saturating air or gas with liquids and effecting a heat exchange, a spraying device comprises an air or gas pipe opening under the level of the liquid surmounted by a bell with its larger end downwards, the bell being also provided in its upper part above the level of the liquid with an opening whose cross-sectional area is greater than that of the air pipe outlet. An intimate mixture of air and liquid issues from the opening into the free space above the liquid. The sheet-iron chamber 1, Fig. 1, dips into liquid in the concrete tank 2. Air or gas is introduced through one or several pipes 3. The spraying devices 4 each comprise a pipe 5, Fig. 2, opening below the liquid level 6 and surrounded by a bell 7 with upper outlet 8 of greater cross-sectional area than that of the pipe 5, and a collar 10 with fixing-screw 11 for adjusting its height on the pipe 5 in order to regulate the level to which the liquid sucked in is taken. The liquid is carried up with the air or gas in the form of small drops into the chamber 1, where excess liquid is precipitated and the saturated air or gas escapes through the outlet 12.
