Abstract

160,030. Kinsman, H. J. Jan. 3, 1920. Golf clubs.-A putter, diiver, brassie, baffle, or like wood golf club having a single striking-face is provided on the sole portion with two or more plane addressing surfaces so disposed in relation to the shaft that the distance of the player from the ball governs the addressing- surface used. The putter head shown in Fig. 1 has two addressing surfaces 1, 2 the shaft of the club being arranged at right angles to the surface 1. Sighting-lines may be marked on the top of the head. The junction 9 of the head and socket may serve as a sighting line. Lead or other weighting-material may be filled into passages extending to.the centre of the head from the addressing surfaces, toe, heel, and back. The angle between adjacent addressing-surfaces may be rounded to provide additional addressing- surfaces.
