Folding model and paper and like toys; furniture.-A toy intended to represent a garden party is made from cardboard and comprises a collapsable structure representing a summerhouse, a number of flat pieces representing trees, animals &c., and printed on both sides so as to be reversible, and a number of flat elements and supporting-devices which can be combined to form seats, chairs, and tables. The "summerhouse," Fig. 1, is made of printed cardboard, and the walls are hinged at the corners 5 so that it may either be opened out to stand erect or folded flat. The floor 7 is hinged along its front edge to the lower edge 8 of the open front of the house, and its back edge is formed with a tongue 9 which engages in a slot 10 in the back of the house and thus keeps the structure open. The roof 11, hinged or folded along the hinge 12, has slots 13, 14 which fit over tongues 15, 16 on the walls. The seats and tables consist of flat cardboard elements 22, Fig. 6, and wires 25 which form the legs and backs. The wires are formed with close coils 26 by means of which they can be clipped on to the pieces 22. Flat cardboard pieces tinted to represent trees, animals, figures &c. are printed on both sides and may be stood upright by means of wire stands such as described in Specification 118,243. Some of these pieces, such as 18. Fig. 10, are formed with horizontal open-ended slots 28 so that they can be slid in the seats of the chairs.
