Abstract
157,988. British Thomson - Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Weintraub, E.). March 5, 1914, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Alloys.-Malleable refractory alloys suitable for use in scientific instruments, jewellery, electric contacts, &c., comprise at least 20 per cent of platinum together with tungsten or molybdenum or both, for example 20-60 parts of platinum and 30-40 parts of tungsten. The alloys may be made by twisting together wires of the metals and melting them in the vapour arc furnace described in Specification 26082/12, [Class 39 (iii), Heating by electricity].
