157,669. Godfrey, R. April 14, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Strainers having sheet straining-materials. - Apparatus for straining petrol or like fluid for use in connection with motor engines &c. comprises a trap chamber or well in the base of a casing a and a valve d which automatically cuts off the supply of fluid through the inlet b when the cap h of the trap chamber is unscrewed in order to remove dirt. The spindle e of the valve bears against the cap h and the valve is closed by a spring f. A cylindrical gauze strainer k is attached, for the purpose of ready removal, to a screwed holder l which has a lateral aperture m registering with the outlet c.
