157,463. Renaud, E. Feb. 18, 1915, [Convention date]. Addition to 157,464. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Track apparatus for stopping trains.-The parent Specification describes a means for stopping trains comprising a pivoted arm, carried by the locomotive, and adapted to actuate a brake valve when engaged by a pivoted track abutment. The present invention comprises means for reducing the shock caused by the engagement between the train contact arm and the track abutment. A train contact arm, Fig. 1, in two parts 25<a>, 25<b>, held together by a pivot 25e, is provided with a roller 25<c> on the part 25b, and a spring 25d absorbs the shock. The track abutment, Fig. 2, consists of a member 51<a> which is moved into an inclined position about a pivot 51<b> by a crank 51<c> when the latter is moved by a bolt 50<a> which engages projection 53<a> on the crank 51<c>.
