Abstract

A non-inflammable lubricant, especially suitable for cooling hot bearings, is made by emulsifying machine oil, wagon oil, cylinder oil, or other mineral oil with saturated lime-water, which forms 30-60 per cent by weight of the emulsion. The ingredients are incorporated under pressure greater than atmospheric. Specification 108/76 is referred to.
