Abstract

Lubricating - oils for internal - combustion engines are improved by adding small quantities of alkene trithiocarbonate, particularly propene-or ethene-trithiocarbonate. The addition of either of these reduces corrosion and wear of bearings and decreases the coefficient of friction.
