Abstract
Novel N-(aminocycloheptyl)-N-alkanoyl anilides of the formula <IMAGE> in which the substituents are described in Claim 1, are prepared. These compounds are obtained by acylating an appropriately substituted N-[2-(disubstituted amino)-cycloheptyl]aniline with an acid anhydride or an acid halide. The corresponding N-oxides are prepared from compounds of the formula I by oxidation with a percarbonic acid. The compounds which are obtained can be used as antidepressants.
