Abstract

155,137. Cauthery, J., and Banks, J. W. Jan. 30, 1920. Conveyer apparatus, injector. - Relates to water injectors for use with waste heat economisers and comprises means to prevent eddies and give a clear passage to the cold water. The usual nozzle b, Fig. 1, is provided with an additional conical member g fitting close above it formed in one with a removable cover peak k, and forming a continuation of the nozzle leading to the inlet d from the pump. Screws o enable the cone g to be firmly seated on the nozzle b. In a modified form the additional member g, Fig. 3, is made to act with a feed inlet q from the pump formed on one side of the casing, by being curved in form and having a screw r in the removable cover to adjust the seating. In a further modification, the nozzle may be formed in one with the conical part g so as to be removable therewith.
