Abstract
154,610. Render, L., and Fuhrmann, W. April 12, 1919, [Convention date]. Corrosion, preventing. - To prevent the formation of scale in a. boiler, condenser or the like, the negative pole of a continuous current generator is connected directly to the boiler &c., and the positive pole is connected to an electrode outside the boiler &c. and immersed in water in communication with that in the boiler &c. The positive electrode b is immersed in the water on the feed-tank a, into which dips the feed-pipe c. The negative pole of the generator may be connected to the boiler at several points.
