147,528. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. Jan. 2, 1919, [Convention date]. Incrustation, preventing.-To prevent incrustation in a steam-boiler or feed-water heater and like apparatus, an alternating or a three-phase current is passed through the water in the boiler &c. With an alternating current, one of the poles of the supply circuit is connected to the boiler plating, and the other pole is connected to one or more insulated carbon or iron electrodes immersed on the boiler water. With a three-phase current, the three leads are connected to three insulated electrodes, and the boiler plating is connected to a neutral point of the circuit.
