Abstract
The device has a horizontally arranged, rotationally drivable drum (1). The drum (1) is supported at one end by an endless chain (6) which runs along the drum circumference and around at least one driven drive element (9). The drum is supported by an endless chain (7) at the other end also. This chain runs along the drum circumference and via at least one roller or a chain wheel (16). This roller or this chain wheel does not necessarily have to be driven. The driven chain (6) engages on a toothless part (8) of the drum circumference. As a result of the omission of teeth on the drum circumference, a more economical manufacture of such a device can be achieved. <IMAGE>
