Abstract

The device has a horizontally arranged, rotationally driven drum (1) which is supported by an endless chain (6, 7) which engages on the drum circumference and runs via at least one driven drive element (9). The chain (6, 7) engages on a toothless part of the drum circumference and is arranged in such a manner that it engages asymmetrically in relation to the vertical central longitudinal plane of the drum. As a result, slipping away of the drum during operation is avoided by a displacement of the centre of gravity of the material. <IMAGE>
