A roller for a conveyor comprising a bearing assembly 2 on a shaft and a rubber coupling 4 between the bearing and roller tube 7, a drive sprocket 9 centered on the bearing and secured to the rubber coupling which thus serves to absorb shock loading. <IMAGE>
