Abstract

1536708 Thermal switches E SPAHN 22 Dec 1976 [13 Jan 1976] 53508/76 Heading H1N A thermostatic control device comprises a housing in which is movable a tumbler switch 1, the switch being spring biased towards a regulating screw 10 which alters the position of switch operating rod 2 relative to the thermostatic actuator. As described, the switch 1 is pivoted about a rod 7 in a U-shaped housing 6, a leaf spring urging it towards the screw 10. An expansion bellows 14 engages the switch rod 2 and is connected by a capillary 15 to a sensor 16. In another arrangement, Fig. 3 (not shown), the screw is mounted to one side of the housing and acts on the switch through a lever (12).
