Abstract
1536360 Measuring fluid-flow ENGLISH CLAYS LOVERING POCHIN & CO Ltd 3 Aug 1977 [3 Aug 1976] 32369/76 Heading G1R Apparatus for providing a signal when the flowrate falls below a predetermined value and remains below that value for a predetermined time, comprises inlet, monitoring and outlet compartments 8, 10, 12 separated by partitions 6, 4 over which liquid can overflow; a by-pass duct22 which allows liquid to flow at the predetermined rate from the inlet to the outlet compartment without flowing into the monitoring compartment; level sensing means 18 and a passage 26 allowing liquid to empty from the monitoring compartment down to the level of the sensing means in the said predetermined time providing no additional liquid flows over partition 6 due to increase flow into compartment 8. The apparatus is used to control one or several plate filters for de-watering slurry.
