Abstract

1536275 Valves PARAGON PLASTICS Ltd 20 Feb 1976 [5 Dec 1974] 52735/74 Heading F2V A mixer tap has a pair of valves 10, 12 each with spigots 16 which extend towards each other and connect with a centre housing 21 from which a nozzle 24 extends, a common shroud with upstanding portions (34), Fig. 2 (not shown), surrounding a portion of each valve extends between the valves and also shrouds the centre housing. As shown the nozzle is a swivelling outlet the root end of which is retained by a nut 30. The nut 30 has a shoulder which traps the shroud against the centre housing. The shroud may be attached to the valve bodies by interengagement between grooves 38 and a projection in the valve bodies. The centre body has separate ports 28 communicating with two passages 26 in the nozzle. The nozzle, centre body junction is sealed by 0-rings 32. O-rings also seal the valve spigot, centre body joint.
