Abstract
1534451 Electro-depositing tin-lead alloy AMP Inc 27 Oct 1977 44719/77 Heading C7B Sn-Pb alloy is electro-deposited e.g. on brass terminals from an aqueous solution of Sn and Pb salts e.g. chlorides complexed with a thiourea and containing 7À5 to 75 g/l Sn, 1 to 99% Pb of total Sn+Pb, 10 to 200 g/l each of a thiourea e.g. (di or tetra-methyl) thiourea and a hypophosphite e.g. Na, NH 4 or KH 2 PO 2 H 2 O, and HCl to adjust pH to between 0À5 and 1À5. The solution may also contain NH 4 Cl and a surfactant e.g. nonyl phenoxy ethylene oxide adduct.
