Abstract

1534285 Tanks FRANKLIN HODGE INDUSTRIES Ltd 4 Dec 1975 49744/75 Heading E1T A storage vessel has vertical side walls formed by a flexible membrane supported only by a plurality of spaced rigid uprights so that each membrane portion extending between two adjacent uprights is concave towards the vessel interior. The membrane is made up of aluminium panels extending over part or the whole of the height of the uprights 11 and secured at their edges to adjacent uprights every other upright or every third upright by bolting. In the latter two cases the panels are secured intermediate their vertical edges to the intermediate upright(s). The vessel is rendered water tight by a butyl rubber liner.
