The lower clamping-plate a<1> of a razor having smooth, corrugated or screwthreaded guard rollers b<1>, b<2> mounted in the plate, is formed with lather-wiping extensions a<2>, a<3> disposed behind the rollers. One or more slits a<4>, as, through which the lather passes, are formed between the lower clamping-plate and the extensions. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 127,195.
