Abstract

1532736 Foam-producing apparatus CHEMTRUST INDUSTRIES CORP 21 March 1977 [23 March 1976] 11765/77 Headings B1C and B2F A foam-generating nozzle-assembly, suitable for dispensing cleaning liquids, comprises a body-section having an orifice 32 for producing a diverging stream of liquid and a nozzle attachment 52 having an inlet chamber 54 and a foam-producing passageway 56, 58 into which said liquid stream is directed, said body-section having an externally-threaded portion with longitudinal grooves 55 defining passageways through which air is aspirated by the liquid stream, said nozzle attachment being movable in the longitudinal direction relative to the orifice 32, to adjust the quality of the resulting foam. The outlet end of the body section includes a longitudinally slidable insert 38 which is displaced into the forward position by the pressure of liquid in a blind bore in said insert; in this forward position, Fig. 4 (not shown), liquid flows around the insert and is discharged through the orifice 32. The assembly may form part of a triggeroperated spray gun, Fig. 1 (not shown).
