1532489 Temporary axles KOMBINAT FORTSCHRITT LANDMASCHINEN NEUSTADT IN SACHSEN VEB 7 Oct 1976 [11 Oct 1975] 41708/76 Heading B7D In a vehicle comprising a body element 6 in the form of a cutting mechanism or an auxiliary implement for use with a harvesting machine, front and rear chassis assemblies 1, 2 are connected with the body element via a universal coupling. The assemblies are locked with respect to the body element 6 at respective lateral sides of the assemblies by means of pin and socket mechanisms 11, 9, Fig. 5. The universal couplings each comprise a pin 7 mounted on the body element for reception in an opening in a plate 3 of the respective chassis assembly 1, 2. Alternatively the pin may be provided on the respective assembly for reception in an aperture on the body element. Each axle assembly has two wheels, however one of the chassis assemblies may be provided with a single wheel.
