Abstract

1532305 Constructing multi-storey buildings EPITESTUDOMANYI INTEZET and KONNYUIPARI SZERELO ES EPITO VALLALAT 31 Aug 1976 35953/76 Heading E1S The floors of a multi-storey building are formed successively from the top to the bottom of the building, the formwork (or scaffolding) 4 for use in making the floor being supported on a plurality of temporary columns made up of sections 5, the formwork 4 being lowered between floor levels by removing sections 5 from the base of the columns. The columns are raised and lowered by means of hydraulic jacks 3, a frictional clamp 2 mounted on legs 1 serving to support the column whilst the lowermost section 5 is added or removed. The jacks may act telescopically inside tubular sections, the clamp 2 acting directly on the sections, Fig. 1 (not shown). Alternatively the sections 5 are of lattice construction and are raised by a member 8 acted on by the jack 3, the clamp 2 acting on member 8.
