Abstract
1531550 Transfer printing STORK BRABANT BV 7 July 1976 [26 Sept 1975] 28273/76 Heading B6C [Also in Divisions D1 and F2] A transfer printing apparatus comprises a rotatable drum mounted within a housing 6, the housing being connected at 14, to a vacuum source, the only opening to the housing being provided with a series of rollers each sealing at its ends with the sides of the opening, the outermost rollers 13 sealing with the sides of the opening, and intermediate rollers sealing with adjacent rollers or with a web passed therebetween. The rollers may have elastic covers, and one of them may be adjustable in position. A flexible sealing lip may be provided between outermost rollers 13 and the opening in the housing. The drum may be heated, and the transfer web and copy web pressed into contact therewith by endless belt 10. The printed web may be passed over cooling surface 15 before being passed out of the housing.
