1531306 Automatic analysis; sample extraction COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE 29 Sept 1976 [2 Oct 1975] 40520/76 Heading G1B Apparatus for automatic determination of for example anionic surfactants in polluted water or traces of iron and copper in nuclear reactor liquids using reactions in which samples, reagents and solvents form heavy and light immiscible liquid phases comprises line 13 which includes automatic proportioner 14 for selectively taking a given reproducible volume of sample from 10a, 10b &c., lines 29, 30, 31 each including an automatic proportioner 26, 27, 28 and each extending from a supply vessel 20, 21, 22 for reagent or solvent for taking a given reproducible volume and at least one reaction vessel which may have heating means 8 and is associated with a measuring device 46, the reaction vessel being provided with agitation means 2 and a discharge pipe system 4 having a closure valve 5, the reaction vessel being supplied by each proportioner via pipe systems provided with closure means 32, 33, 34, vessel 1 also comprising means for separately withdrawing the heavy and light phases from the reaction vessel, for example interface detection device 6 in discharge pipe 4 and chamber 60, and pipe system 40 leading to chamber 42a in which pressure is reduced by Venturi 44.
